Distance and time
Stood before us
Like a mountain
With jagged crags
And long, lonely nights.
At times hope seems lost;
Then the fog lowers
And I see your face
In the mists.
The echo of your voice
Carries me through
When I stumble in the dark.
My heart always aches
To beat next to yours
While my soul is dancing
In the sunlight
Of days to come.
This journey is my strength,
Embodied by knowledge
That all steps conquered
Will lead to our promise.
