Poetry: Secret Love
Invisible Wound
by Willow

Growl, scream, cling
Clutch the invisible wound
Grip, dig in your nails,
into the salty skin,
where scars live
What do I do? I ask you.
Longing to be solitary in the dark
But I want to be with you
you're really my only love
you're the one who also killed it for me.
Tell me that you love me
goddammit, please tell me that you love me
Because I'm torn between the darkness and the light
and a candle penetrates the night,
intoxicating it with its flickers.
I want to see you,
and maybe you'll finally hold me,
and cool my feverish body,
and finally quench that goddam thirst deep down in my core.
