Poetry: Secret Love
Connection
by Matt Mackowski

It's not difficult to say unless we are standing face to face, then all is lost, awkward silence will replace. It's not easy to believe these words I say,as the reputation of my kind, has thrown me out of my position. If only the rest of the women in the World knew my words to be true, then it would be a lot easier for me to speak with you.

I want to be able to talk with you to walk with you, to care for you. This too takes time to build up the courage and strength. This, what I say is true; I want to listen to you, hear your voice, see your presence and beuty. We can make this a magical relationship, if we both take our time to get to know each other and give one aother a chance, we will have the best of both worlds, truly.

The affection that I dream, the charm, the presence you bring. Start slow, then we both know what we are in for. We have the pwer to keep score, if we want. Then we can live our lives and still be ourselves, protect what is ours, open the door to a new world of wonder and have the power to keep it calm or create thunder.

It's clear to me now, of what I need to do. My courage I have and it's my true personality to make you laugh. My fear may be only showing half, but the other half is lurking to come out. I must resist, almost there to look you in the eye and see you lookback at me, for we may only say hi. That's enough for me as I daydream of our first kiss together, and see the instant change in the weather.
