First Love
by Marlene Scheer
I give everything to you.
I gave up old to start new.
Our lives are as one so we maybe
As a bird in a life set for free.
If by chance, I fly above.
The olders of my life of love.
I fear I may feel a glow.
From a candle lite but winds did blow.
Going back is never, not a choice.
For I hear another sweet, sweet voice.
I dare not think of the grassy meadow.
Where I did give life, I know.
Missing the old, I do regret.
But going back, I must forget.
My dearest love that I once knew.
I will always, always be missing you.
The darkness scares me not my sweet.
For I deserve the life I meet.
The hurt will draw up my life
