In raising my children I have one goal in life.
Before I leave this world, I want to be able to say.
My children are better than me.

From the first day I held you in my arms.
I knew you would be better than me.

The days we wrestled on the floor and you beat me with the claw.
I knew you would be better than me.

When we would go on a camping trip and you caught more fish.
I knew you would be better than me.

Throwing a football or baseball, I could tell
You would be better than me.

Hearing you sing at church when you were young.
I knew you would be better than me.

As you grew older and seeing you choose your friends.
I knew you would be better than me.

When I was teaching you how to drive.
I knew you would be better than me.

While you were dating I did have my questions. But now I see
You would be better than me.

Seeing you succeed in life. (Work & College)
I knew you would be better than me.

Seeing how you treat other people
Tells me you will be better than me.

God has truly blessed me with wonderful children.
And I can honestly say. I have reached my goal.
You both are better than me.
Most of all I know I will see you in eternity.
