Poetry: Life Long Love
Afraid I'd Lose at Love
by Bryon D. Howell

I doubted I could ever feel this way -
so confident and satisfied with us -
and now as long as you decide to stay
we'll have a splendid future to discuss.
I have a dandy hope and snappy goal
to be the man who walks you down the aisle;
you've earned yourself a spot inside my soul -
and all you really had to do was smile.
I doubted I would ever find true love
but you have proven all of that untrue.
Our life as one is all I'm thinking of.
I'm happy now. that's all because of you.
Although I'd been a skeptic all those years,
your love arrived and chased away my fears.
