Darkness falls as they pull he sheet over me.
They pronounced me dead at 9:03.
Listed under cause was "unkknown".
What it should read is of a broken heart.
But to speak of that I must go back to the start.
We were young when we met.
The world laid before us as we began our journey together.
We married young and spent every moment we could together.
He the left hand and I the right.
A bond held together so tight.
We worked through everything tis' true.
Until the good lord saw fit to take him from me so soon.
Drugs and beer,
A snoot here and there,
And a week later I find myself here.
