I sit here and think. I sit here and pray.
Will you hold onto me the rest of your days?
For I once was lost, in this world, in this maze.
I sit here and think of my old ways..

I look on in this road that once used to be dark.
i see beyond the wolves, the snakes and the sharks.
i find behind the montains and the hills of old.
i find a treasure. I find my gold.

Walking this road all alone was a hell.
Depressed, and lost, locked in my own shell.
The trees hid the sun, no light in my day.
I could only whisper: HELP, that's all I could say.

The snakes they jumped at me, the rocks cut my feet.
And I would look around but nothing could be seen.
The darkness- my friend, the spiders- my light.
I had nothing to hold onto in life.

I fell to my knees, o, I fell and I cried.
I cried, and I weeped, and I looked for the sky.
I prayed for a miracle, for a light to guide me.
I prayed to be found, I prayed to see.

I looked all around me, in this black solitude.
I felt your hand on me, and then i saw you.
I looked up to the sky, and saw your gentle eyes.
Could this be real? to GOD i cried.

The sun started shining high in the sky.
The flowers-blooming, and the trees stood up high.
A light to my path, when I found you.
As the snakes, and the sharks had nothing left to do.

THey couldn't scare me, no more in this life.
FOr now I am safe, I no more need to cry.
Loneliness, depression, a cold feeling had filled me.
NOthing could save me, nothing more could be.

A prisoner in my own mind, locked forever.
Until you found me, and my prayer was answered.
Green in my eyes, from the leaves and the grass.
Flowing rivers, singing birds, and more importantly, us.

Together, hand in hand, as we walk this road.
I am no more in darkness, I am no more alone.
I once was lost but now I'm found, this is true.
For my whole life was changed when I found you.

A different life I lived, and a different road I walked.
As we now an old couple still hand in hand, in love.
I sit here and I think, of the life i used to live.
As i sit not alone, but with you right beside me.

HOld me, Don't let me go. Don't ever leave me alone.
Just hold me in your arms, and no never let go.
We continue on this road, still hand in hand.
Forever we'll continue on, together we will stand.
