Cody G.
by Alison
Cody, are you there?
are you reading this poem
and wanding who this crazy girl is,
to write to you?
Are you feeling the pullings of your heart
to write back in responce
to these words that twist
and churn in your mind?
I loved you then
when we were too small to know what this lovely pain was,
and I love you still,
even now as this pain has turned ugly,
I lack for sight of you,
and my heart yearns for a face
familiar in my eyes for years
and an old red tractor.
A diary barn,
hay bales
a little blue farm house
and that tractor.
Cody, you will probably never read this,
and more the pity,
for you will never read of my love
for a boy named Cody g.
