Missing Light
by steve chodakowsky
a blackness in the dead of night
starry lit yet full of darkness
silent wind whispering thought
the moon rises less its light
stillness quiets the owls hoot.
reflections of a time gone past
sound mind roaming free
dreaming of a love to last
a day in a life moves so fast
yet time ceases to exist
somewhere in this warp of time
two hearts apart in space
yet closer than ever before
darkness ascends without a trace
love grows forever more.
