Poetry: Life Long Love
My Breath Of Fresh Air
by Terrence Brothers

A flame not yet burnt out on one solitary candle but the other flickered out in early december.
A snow already fallen against the love we once felt and thought we knew. Although I never stopped feeling love for you.
It's easier to make you my enemy than to do what I do. Always loving you through the pain of your loveless eyes as you glance at me and look away. I would never have thought this would be, five months ago today. I still always wish as if in the past that you would stay. I see your smile the way you laugh. I know you're happy and I wish I wasn't only your past so I could make you smile that way. but I know I still need to let you go.
