Poetry: Life Long Love
Strangers When We Met
by Debbie Ann Douglas

Strangers when we met,
Now friends for life
I took you as my husband
As I became your wife.

We have spent all our lives together
We have weathered many storms
Helping each other in times of need
Through the years our love has grown.

Standing beside each other
In all our times of need
Knowing when to help
Knowing when to leave.

Respecting one another
And loving no matter what
We take the time to listen
Know when to help or not.
