The Grecian
by John
Old age is a lie.
There is no rocking chair,
No calm wisdom, no leisurely peace.
Just a tube, a catheter,
An empty refrigerator.
I don't want to grow old with you,
Just to live young for you.
To be arrogant in our love,
To lie in fields of happy days
Gathering flowers before they decay.
We are young an invincible.
Nothing can touch us
When we touch these sheets.
So i say not that i will love you forever,
But that i will love you for today.
And today.
And today.
