Poetry: Life Long Love
The Burden Carrier
by Psalm Odedere

They pray their burdens on me
When the wise nearly right and wisdom grow old
They pray it for me
When hell pushes and heaven pulls
The pray it for me
When favor seasoned and the stupid forget
They pray it for me
When the goods revolt and the bad devote
They pray it for me
When angels betrayed and tomorrow stand to tell
They pray it for me
When my bearings are weak
And the burdens weary me
They pray it for me
They will call on me when the sun shines
When the blue becomes dark and it starts to rain
Just to pray it for me
They all pray, even the ones who had about me
Well, to those who call me but don’t know me
My name is Sorry, The Burden Carrier
