Poetry: Life Long Love
The One
by Donna Gilleland

Tingle in my tummy, chill down my spine
when he touched me, I melted like fine wine
He loved me gently, I loved him dear
I held him close, just to keep him near

His warm body and his soft touch
was a gift to me, that I enjoyed so much
I never thought I'd see the day
he had to leave and go away
But when it came, I let him go
because I loved him and my heart said so

Let him go, Let him be and if he feels this feeling
he'll come back for me.
The days have past, and the years have come
and I've waited for that special someone

He never came...........I guess he never even felt
the same. My heart is broken, I feel so incomplete......
Hell, its all I can do to get some sleep.

He touched my heart so true and pure, I don't think
I'll ever feel that way again, I'm sure.
So, I love him gently and I love him dear,
silently somewhere in here.

He fills the whole thats been empty all these years
So I'll hold him dear until he comes to wipe away all my tears.
