Poetry: Life Long Love
Love Will Never Fail
by Matt Hagelin

What is love?
Are we destined to know?
Is there love for everyone?
Love is endless in growth

We pray, each day
That we will find
Someone to hold,
To call our own,
We cherish each minute,
We spend with them,
From that one first kiss,
Until we die hand in hand,
The memories that last,
Imprinted in our minds,
The beauty of it all,
Is far too divine,
To understand, or be told in words,
Nothing can compare, to being in love and have her,
Say I love you, and know she means,
That you are her life, her everything
You're the one she looks to,
If her sky is grey,
So you can come to her,
And blow the clouds away,
To love is to find,
The true meaning of life,
We're all here for a reason,
To live, to love, to die,
The cycle goes on, and the love prevails,
Through decades, and milleniums,
Love will never fail,
Love is great, love is the best,
Love is the feeling of a long needed rest,
The happiness, that flows,
Around like a carousel,
From my heart to yours,
Love will never fail,
In desperate times of chaos,
Love will be there,
To mend your broken battle scars,
And let you breathe fresh air,
It is the resurrection of yourself,
That you will come to find,
Will carry you on,
Till the day that you die,
So when you pass,
Make sure you find love,
Because if you don't, it's tragic,
Because love is just the best,
Even if you haven't had it.
