Just one more chance
by Eden
When I was pulled away from you,
from me my life taken ,
our true love for saken,
From this nightmare we would not waken,
I thought heard you cry
'God, please don't take her,'
We will forever worship you, sir,
We thought we were to never be apart, but we were,'
And so when I reached heaven I pleaded for our love,
I begged for another life,
a chance to be your wife,
Willingly would I work in pain and strife,
But God just shook his head at me,
'This will all come at a price,
Others do not get another chance, be they men or mice,
At rest lays your dice.
But i tossed my head and laughed,
' Nothing do I fear,
Just my wish will you hear,
Because i know that he is near.'
God smiled at me and told me to go,
'You have one more dance,
Another time will you come here hence,
for I give you just one more chance.'
