I lie awake, alone in my bed,
So many voices screaming in my head.
As I think of ways to sort them out,
I remember the voice that brought me doubt.

Going through life and showing no care,
may seem to others not to dare.
As some of them wonder and some turn away,
leading people to believe they are unafraid.

Showing no emotion, alive yet thoughtless,
is sometimes better than living and getting dissed.

Many times life gets so rough,
to the point where you think you've had enough.
Threatening thoughts passes through your head,
most of them wishing you were dead.

These different issues make up a test,
which will help you be the very best.
Insecurities and doubt may bring you down,
life with these causes a depressed frown.

Depending on other such as your friends,
sometimes might turn their back in the end.
Even though you had their trust,
they leave you behind like a bag of dust.

Then there are those who stand by your side,
a special friendship that can't be untied.

As the voices are becoming clear,
I realize it's me, and then shed a tear.

Now I'm going through life,
with my head held high, and showing no strife.
Many times life gets hard,
but you have to just keep playing it by card.

Since life is not written in text,
We are left to wonder what is next.
