Poetry: Life Long Love
A Drink of Poison
by Alex

If only you could yet but see through my eyes,
You could see how much I care,
You would know how much you really mean to me,
But yet you could see the pain I try to hide,

My heart is full of ache and slowly gaining,
The poison you gave is now taking it's effect,
At first it started as a slight pain,
But has grown to it's fullest,

My love for you will always be,
But why you left is still unnamed,

The love I once knew,
The pain I still have,
They are all because of you,

And now I write to you my last words,
I still love you.
