Poetry: Life Long Love
Angel
by bobby

I spent last night with an angel
One God purposely sent my way
She could make any ill person feel well
And I hope she's here to stay
Mere presence alone brings a smile within
While turning a dark day light
A simple touch of the finger or graze of my skin
Brings a day full of cheer and delight
Who know you could fall for an angel
Something so biblically pure
It's like she has cast an internal spell
For which I don't wish to find the cure
Every moment I'm near, is a moment of bliss
And I wish I never had to leave
But the love that we have can be shared in a kiss
And that's enough for me not to grieve
The feelings grow stronger as each day rolls by
I can't get her off of my mind
With her by my side I wish I could lie
Then no more happiness would I need to fine
You see to spend time with her is a gift on its own
A self contained bundle of joy
Though I don't like talking much on the phone
I know I'm a darn lucky boy
She's into me and I'm into her
It's like things just fall into place
And even the rice she knows not to stir
And how I love seeing her face
How much more can I say about this angel
Cept that I love her with all of my heart
No feelings for her to me must you sell
Cause I know I love this angel and from those feelings I
will not depart
