Poetry: Life Long Love
It was still there
by William W. Kimbrel Sr

I came to see again where dreams were made and love was found
I came to stand AND REMEMBVER ON THE SAME HALLOWED GROUND
WHERE PINE IN STATELY RANGE STILL MUMMER IN THE WINDS
wHISPERING JOY OF HAPPINESS AND WELCOME TO TO AN OLD FRIEND
tO SEE AGAIN THE PALE OF EVENING AND STrETCHING SHADOWS FALL
a MOON GLOWING, STILL HEARD AGAIN IT'S CURTAIN CALL
iT CAST IT'S LIGHT AGAinst a star light sky
and there before my eyes
It bathed the lake of yesteryear as it did slowly rise
Then came the the gentle evening breeze
to add it's magic to the trees and cause the filtered moon light to dance among it's leaves I heard the sound of night life blend in splendered tune
sing the song of short nights and love that ends so soon
