The day you entered the world,
was the first time you met your parents.
When you said your first word,
was the first time you were appreciated.
And then you knew this was the first step into an obstacle we know as life.

From the time you learned to walk,
to the time you tied your shoes all by yourself,
you were growing up before the world and there was nothing possible to stop it. And then you knew this was your second step into an obstacle we know as life.

As the seasons change at a pace,
so does your beauty, age, and grace.
Your about to take a journey to college where you will be in the world all by yourself. And that's when you know this is your third step into an obstacle we know as life.

The special day comes when you will exchange your vows,
And you look at your spouse thinking, "This is the one I want to be with till the day I die",
You soon start a family and make money,
That's when you realize this was really meant to be your life and your destiny.

Your children get older and they move on,
You retire from something you loved to do,
And as you sit there in your house so empty,
You realize that life is something no one understand because it comes so differently in the eyes of people. To some it's lies and jealousy, to others it's honesty and hypocritical. And with that is when you slowly shut your eyes and sleep away forever.
