I saved Life
by Jenny
Shadows fall beneath the sky
It’s all seen through a wandering eye
Walking past a solid water
Mother leaving nature to father
Falling objects very slow
Trying to decide who's friend and foe
Windows crumble
Paper breaks
Everyone should pay
For their mistakes
Look through a nose
Smell through an eye
Why is it so easy to lie?
My tears drain then a tear
I taste with such a dreadful fear
I hear something tumble and fall
I whisper then call
To the name of life apparently crying
I look and start sighing
I know it’s because of what’s on earth
Trying to gain hope with each birth
Some are good but some are bad
Apparently making life so sad
I try to comfort but it knows I’m lying
So then it continues crying
I whisper some gentle words
And out flew beautiful birds
You see I begin
And let off a grin
Life; you can be ok
There’s always something good each day
A children’s laughter a puppy’s toy
A lover’s eye full of joy
I may not be so joyful right now
But look down at that cow
A farmer just had to laugh
With joy because the birth of a calf
Who will provide milk one day
For more life, more of you each day
Life smiled a smile
That reached a mile
And finally stopped the tears
And all its fears
It went away all joyful
And I could tell it was very thankful
So I knew I shouldn’t lie to life itself
So before I hurt someone or even myself
I changed my life in so many ways
Like smiling all through my days
I still have those times
When I have to express myself in rhymes
Because I’m so sad
But I helped life and m own, and that makes me glad
