The Innocence of a Boy
by Adam
Parental Advisory
Unattainable goal
To mutter of a bad word
Would be utterly bold
Staying up late
For only holidays
Running around
With a childish swagger
When someone drops their bag
Surely to bend down
So joyful a little boy
So good, so pure, always
With a baseball cap
Of quiet azure
There is still much to endure
For being who I am
Because I am so overprotected
What an ironic cure
Totally unselfconscious
Confidence galore
Uncontrollable self-control
And a shy boyish droll
My future is bright
My present is nice
My presence is lively
Happiness doubles twice
Always refined
Never any lice
No cavities
Just jolly old me!
