Poetry: Special Days
A Day In The Life
by Michael Claunch

I hang my hat in old Cowtown, for that's what I call home;
Unload Dallas tomorrow morn', who knows where I may roam.
I may go east, I may go west, but one thing is for sure;
No matter where I go from here, I know I shall endure.
Been everywhere in these here states, dues paid for a gypsys ways;
Criss-crossing old familiar trails I'd blazed in younger days.
Travelling along lifes lone highways, I've finally come to know;
My Savior...came into my life, and His Light to me, did show.
And now I know which road to take, for it's narrow and it's straight;
And I'll follow it unto it's end, for it leads to Heavens Gate.
