This icy path can take us away.

We can dissolve like liquid, into the trees and away with the birds. We can go anywhere right now, but we choose to stay here because we can almost feel a connection.....

We can hear the cars, yet we’re miles away. We can hear them splashing up and down the street. Honking, in a rush to get home but what’s the hurry??..............

The benches are cold but still, we sit. Cuddled up in our jackets and into each others arms, we lay back.

The sky is grey and through the fog its so clear who we are. Moments like this make everything worth living for........

Because right now.....

I’m happy.......

And for a second, we get along. And as you take a breath and you let it out the smoke fills the air. Almost as if to add back to the world the things we took from each other as the walk got longer...........

You can see the ice melting off the trees, dripping onto a birds head as it was preparing to take flight.

Confused......

It stands for a second, looking in our direction as we talk about past dreams in which we’ve fallen......

For just another second.......

And right when you think I’m on the verge of giving up....

I find a way to shine, and bare the cold....

When you blink, your eyes turn red, and your eyelashes become heavy. Your so cold at this moment, and right now, we don’t get along.....
