On a very special day
God created a new life
A tiny baby boy was born
And warmed the hearts around
He grew to love, he grew to give
He grew to learn life's rules
Many a times he slipped and fell
But God was there to help
Today is yet another year
Since the miracle bore forth
This little boy, now a grown man
Has touched the souls of man
He is, through the eye, an ordinary guy
Making his way through life
But to this very woman who writes this piece,
He is that, and so much more.
Angels are thought to have tiny wings
To fly around the world
But there are angels of a kind,
Who stride with feet,
And leave deep imprints in our lives.
You are an angel,
That was sent as my gift
To help me through life's knots,
And as you grow, you're in my thoughts
Regardless of what tomorrow holds.
A year has come and quickly gone,
Another holds a promise.
Although I do not have a crystal ball,
I pray for a year thats full of worthy gold.
