Poetry: Special Days
Parents Love
by JoAnne Teagarden

Parents and children these days,
Are so set in their ways.

Although it may go unsaid,
As you tuck your kids in for bed.

Their love for you,
Is never ending and true.

When your nerves are tested and tried,
And you feel your brain is fried.

Remember how much they love you,
And that a parents job is never through.

Advice they will borrow,
As you wipe the tears from their sorrow.

A penny here, a penny there,
Hey, it's only fair.

When they ask to use the car,
Don't worry they wont get far.

It's not like they'll break the bank,
There's not much gas in the tank.

You'll be together for years,
Through the heart break and tears.

A childs life filled with smiles,
Thanks to a parents love that goes for miles!
