Poetry: Special Days
Our Sex
by jul

I recall it like stealing a moment unmeant to have.
As if I letting go of this memory for a second would banish it.
In his arms I felt a warmth that had nothing to do with the sun or humidty.
We sat there in the dark, me locked in his arms, like light could destroy the feeling.
Our heartbeats quickened... we both knew what we wanted as we lay there.
But instead we gave each other something deeper than sex and intimitcy.
We gave our bodies, minds, spirits, love, lust, and affection.
All within our lips.
Tonight... this was our sex,
under the sounds of the rain's praise, as it fell
and we knew not, that this was to be one of the last memories of us...
