Another Lonely Christmas
by Rene Prospero
Another lonely Christmas is coming by
With gifts and memories of other Christmas gone by,
With cookies, and cake, and children all around
With sadness the empty seats of the Christmas dinner are gazed upon.
The lights are not as bright
As they were just last year,
They gloom with the memories
Of those that are not here.
What ever happened to the peace we once adored?
It was stripped from us by tyranny, and the hand of one dark lord.
And whie we sit at dinner time, remembering our troops,
We will remember this lonely Christmas giving thanks to God.
