The Bismarck
by Anna Eva Von Muller
To the last our strength will carry.
Through out history remembered.
Down into a world of darkness forgoten by the world above.
We let them sleep where they lay.
All we wanted was to live to see another day, to walk the fields of spring.
A world of wonder and beauty.
All in vain, we dreamed as the last moments the fear in our hearts grew near.
Will be remembered if we all die today?
She sank beneath us The Pride Of Deutchland our ship of dreams.
She rests at the bottom of the sea.
All thoes we knew could not be saved from the fate.
Even for some of us it was just too late.
We saw her one last time aboard the Dorsetshire, we all stood on her deck and cried.
You will never be forgotten or missed.
You will be remembered throughout history, even the ones that died for us that fateful day.
Glory be unto you always with love for love never dies.
I love you.
This poem is dedicated to the crew and Chief Admiral Gunther Lutjens and the survivors of The Bismarck.
