the mighty towers
by Richard Chapman
Yes, you can sake us
No, you will not break us
Yes, our hearts are broken
As ministers of this nation so spoken
You lashed at us destroying the towers
The tear on our faces came as showers
We recognized them as economic power
Again this nation face a darken hour
The mighty towers seemingly tall,
are dwarf by this nations hewn call
As in times past you may recall
The spirit of the people did not fall
Though the twin towers are no longer there
The might of eagle is in the air
as we pray on bent knee
we pray for our souls and our enemy
We ask the lord for reprieve
due to the weaponry we conceive
The roar of the towers shout in defiance
The rest of the world shook hands in alliance
As the world bowed its heads to pray
For those that parishes this dark day
How could anyone invoke such fray
And pretended to be holly or so portray
All of god's people so demand,
that the world stands hand in hand
The message to you that we convey
The world's militias will make you pay
God please smile on those who reflect
And bless the soldiers who protect
We ask forgiveness for what we perpetrate
Our intent is to punish not annihilate
