The Way We Were

The smile he gave us every day,
The joy he gave to us come this way,
The love that kept us all alive,
And bringing food to all his five.
In spite of not having any school,
He made sure that we followed each rule,
He gave us a lesson of morality,
And education was his priority.
How I miss my father dear,
As for death I do not fear,
Because I know that on that day,
I will tell him, "I am here to stay".
