The little things
by Edgar
When you don't get a valentine,
He'll have a teddy bear.
When you just aren't feeling fine.
He gives his heart of care.
But when you get into that fight.
You don't remember the wrong he tried so hard to make right.
Think back on those happy times.
Where you were safe inside his arms,
Avoiding all the hurt and harms.
Where little laughs were like a prize.
You got the true gift when you looked in his eyes.
Those are what you should remember.
Too bad Valentine's Day isn't in December.
You'd have presents and candy all in a row,
but then those warm hugs are what you have to show.
