There are many who claim to have seen the white light.
Some see Jesus, while others say an angel waits to guide the way.
I, too, have come close to going home to my God.
He's given me more time, though, so there's a bit more I'd like to say.

I am blessed with a loving family and many friends
I need not turn my head to know that they stand beside me.
But, yet, I've found the love of even one more.
An angel here on Earth, I didn't know this could be.

She didn't know me, but she was there when I needed her.
She was there for my family to keep their minds at ease.
Yes, it is her job, but she went a few extra miles.
She extended her heart trying to fulfill all of our needs.

This wonderful nurse, Martha, is the angel I speak of.
She doesn't even realize how much she's done.
We thank our Lord for her during our trying time of crisis.
For with her support, another battle we have won.
