Poetry: Concern/Thinking of You
Where I Belong
by Fishie

Where I belong

I know there are times, too many to count
when you're all alone, with no-one around
and you find yourself in moments of grief
with no-one to turn to, to find some relief
and now more than ever, you need a strong man
to keep you from sinking, to take you by hand
to help you get over the hurdles you face
to wipe away tears as they run down your face
to hold you so close and rock you to sleep
to make you feel safe, and just flat out keep
on saying 'hang in there, the rides almost through'
'Tomorrow is gonna be better for you'
I wish it were me, wish I was your rock
you'd never be lonely, the crying would stop
I'd hold you forever, our love would be strong
I'd break your heart never, you're where I belong.
