Poetry: Concern/Thinking of You
The Core
by Nona

I know when you're angry
I know when you've been bad
I know when you're eyes wander
I can guess about the women you've had...

But you need to hear me
Hear me well.
I love you and that's my only hand.
I don't play games
Not with love, not with a man.
I don't know nothing about no frickin' poker.
And I'm not about to strip
But I do know that if you're not in it for love.
This relationship is way beyond a mere rip.

I can only speak for myself
not one to roll around in deception
I'm human...my emotions change
If you see evil in my intentions
Baby, that's your own reflection.

I'm not desparate
Nor am I psychotic
I know what I want in life
and I'll ask for it without a flinch

My strength is that I can't hate
And if you fail to see the real me
Then walk away and accept our fate.

I won't wither away, even if I cry all night
I won't slit my wrist, to see my own blood is an awful sight.
I will keep you in my heart
and think of you as the one and only
But God knows I won't force you to love me
and I won't stay lonely.

Hear me finally
for once and for all
I love you madly...enough to be a fool
but for you to think I'm lying...
That s* just ain't kool...
