Poetry: Concern/Thinking of You
Our rights to love
by charley

I have no right to ask anything of you,
but you ask me to tell you my feelings.
Do I just tell you how I feel ...and then what?
I wish I could be strong enough to walk away.
If I didn't love you, how could I have endured this.
You conduct yourself like you are free,
as I sqirm to answer your questions.
I can't expect anything for you given your situation.
I don't know how to act anymore.
The 'all or nothing' relationship would only work for you.
You would have everything.
I would have a small piece of what?
Would you be happy with a small piece of me?
This is the question that needs to be answered by you and me.
