Poetry: Concern/Thinking of You
YoungTears
by Lisa

Darkness blinds me, smothers my soul, It surrounds me, swallows me whole. It rips me through, must break its hold. Keep my heart true, but its so cold.

My mind is shaky its all a blue, but I still remember his heart and soul. The thundering tears dripped from my face, they were sweaty, hot, streaming as if in a race.

I was only 12 and yet someone I loved had died. A long time friend, a loving boy, his name was Dave, he was loud but yet shy. His face bright, smiles never fade, sitting on his roof crying from the pain.

I had to face the truth, relize he was gone. I faintly remember the sirens, painting the streets in a bright red, their shrill echoed like a voice inside my head.

The sky darkened, as death approached, people panicked and shadows enroached. Tears had fallen and smiles came to end, he was a brother, son, and friend.

Every tear that hit the floor had a memory, story, and more. A feeling from not only your heart but from the boy's life which vanished with fright. So many people were surprised to hear, they knew it was over, there was shock and fear.

Gone forever, will not return, no one could imagine the pain and burn. He left a scar in all are hearts, from the memories that were torn apart.

The blazing flames would not weaken, they rose higher and higher until smoke covered the street like a large, gray blanket covering the neighborhood. Embers were found covering the ground, there were groups of people huddling around.

Today the house has dissapeared, the ashes were covered with trees and long grassfields. Still today I stare down at the grave, the life which was carved, Ferrante, Dave.
