Brake to the floor

Pain of discovery
Wish or a cry
Shadow of a memory
Of time passed by

With each tear of my heart
Truths pull me near
Like clothing worn out
Stained by the year

Emotions run through me
Too fast I can't breathe
Painfully bruised
I watch myself bleed

Shifting the gears
I now feel the burn

Time to slow down
