The Perfect Kiss
by Peter Anolick
A touch so soft, a feeling so great…
It’s a craving, unbearable, I can hardly wait.
I don’t know what it is, your soft lips or your smile…
Your cute little nose, soft cheeks, and didn’t I say smile?
I could see you every five minutes, or every five years…
But I rejoice when I see you, you take away all of my fears.
It’s the memory burnt in my mind, the feeling that won’t go away…
When I hold you in my arms, and back and forth we sway.
Your kiss is like magic, it has the strength and power to heal all…
It’s like the strong arms that join together, to pick one up when they fall.
It’s like an indulgence, an addictive drug to most…
I’m just the lucky one who gets to kiss you, I think I have the right to boast.
And boast I should, you are the perfect one for me,
You’re wild and crazy, out going, and free.
Beautiful and smart, what else is there to say…
Well I could say I love you and that I think about you everyday…
Having kissed you just once, made my year, no my life…
It is a feeling I get when I know I’m kissing my future wife.
I love you so much, and I have no future without you,
Life will be perfect with our hands held together, and your lips on mine too.
