Poetry: Kisses
I Love You
by Melanie Black

I love you

Not just what you do
Not the way you smile
when I walk into a room
Not the way you hold my hand
as if you’ll never let it go
Not the way you kiss my forehead
As if I were a precious jewel
Not the way you whisper my name
As if its mere sound brings unrelenting bliss

I love you for you Kameron
You’re much more than this

I love you

When you hold me close
As if we we’re no longer two

I love you

When you kiss my hand, my neck,
As if you can’t get enough

I love you

When you wrap your arms around me
The way you breath so softly
As we drift off to sleep

I love you

Just a thought
A simple memory
Brings a smile-
Brings tears to my eyes

I love you

In all your silent splendor
The way you stole me away
quietly

I love you

In your trustworthy, sound, resolve
In a myriad of ways my words
can never capture

I love you

You’re amazing Kameron
Even though you don’t believe it

You’re everything I never knew I needed
The embodiment of my dreams
I love you with a love I never knew possible
Thank you for loving me in return
