Poetry: Kisses
perfected
by angel ca'preece lumpkins

We lust for eachother throughout the year,
as tender lips kiss close.
Silent pillow talk we long to hear
and you know that I love you most.
And you think you love me more,
but I believe my heart has got you beat.
And we hug and embrace and we explore,
as our laughing lips meet.

But we began to lose our touch
somewhere we fell apart.
I love you still but not as much,
I love you with half my heart.
And now I know a kiss is nothing,
without the help of love,
without love a kiss is still something,
but not what our realationship is made of,

You kissed me and I pulled back,
as though my heart objected it.
I'm intitled now to give this fact
lips invented the kiss...love just perfected it.
