Poetry: Kisses
love displayed
by rene britton

give me that unwavering look that conveys a million passionate thoughts. then let me feel your rough hands become gentle as you slowly run one palm and fingers down the center of my face. stop your middle finger to trace my lips. my warm breath beckons you to come inside and you do. your now slick finger finds it's way over my chin and down my neck to that hollow place. the trail of wetness gives me a chill and you can feel my heart beating rappidly. you bend down to place a kiss in the deep lake of my throat. then, starting at one shoulder your mouth leaves a shine of wet kisses across my sensitive collar bone. i feel you stand tall. you take in my face with your eyes, my head leaning slightly back and my eyes closed, not wanting this to end. i feel your face coming closer to mine and than your breath on my mough. our lips not touching, our eyes closed and our breath mingling - the promise of a kiss. i move towards you and our lips brush slightly. we barely draw away and then with unrestrained passion, our lips meet - softly, yet bindingly, as we begin the unending tide of love displayed. we'll never have to stop. it's perfect. we were made for each other, and for this.
