Poetry: New Love
Better of Before
by Lauryn Woodman

Call me crazy for wanting some kind of change.
Say it's my fault that things didn't stay the same.
I took the chance and risked it all...
I never knew I'd take such a big fall.
It's ok to dream when your wishes all come true...
What happens when all your dreams come crashing down on you?
They laugh when I say that it's just not fair.
They shrug it off and tell me I shouldn't care.
But when all I wanted was just to have you,
It hurts knowing that you didn't want me, too.
I can't go on living life as a lie.
I won't keep telling people that everything's fine.
Maybe I can go back to the way things were before.
Things were better when I didn't love you more.
I'm sorry I love you, I'm sorry I care.
I'm sorry you don't want me,
And I'm sorry that's not fair.
