Poetry: New Love
Woven Lace
by Nicola J Steel

Honey sipped from a flitting busy bee,
Feels like the contours of your face,
As I brush your tender lips with mine,
In a longing and fond embrace.

In the spontaneity of your fingertips,
As you tickle my skin, and soul,
Your eyes whisper a forgotten secret,
To fling my senses out of control.

The chaste petals of a Callus lily,
Reflected in your suggestive glance,
Play in harmony with our laughter,
Spinning, palm in palm we dance.

The comfort that only lovers share,
An intense yet delicate grace,
One eternal lifetime in but a minute,
As an intricately woven lace.
