Poetry: New Love
Patience for your Love
by See Smith

As we sit on the beach in the still dark of the night
Up above are the stars in abundance shining so
bright
The moon illuminates its face as it reflects off the
sea
As we lay across the sand there is no better place for us to be
I hope in the morning at sunrise your still by my side
For the longest time I've been trying to show you a surprise
When you see it you'll understand and you'll feel what I feel
But you never stay long enough your still attempting to heal
If I turn then your gone before I get to reveal to you my gift
When I blink you disappear so swift as if you didn't exist
My faith and my confidence has me convinced I need no magic potion
I know one day you'll stay to see our Love rise across the ocean
Watching the sunrise is an analogy of how radiant our love will be
So in patience I sit and wait for you to stay watch the sunrise with me
