IS THIS LOVE
by David Mullikin
The Sun inches it's way over the mountain and licks it'sway into cracks and crevices of the desert, then pours in through my window. I gaze upon a new day as the strands of her strawberry colored hair start to sparkle with the glow of sunlight as it dances through each strand. Inch by inch itmoves across her body, lighting up each little section with light, warm and glowing, it makes each part it touches glow warmly like a fire place fire on a cold winters night. The Sunlight caresses her body, ever gently like her lover. I watch this in awe from her bedroom doorand I wonder, is this Love? Could someone watch all this and not wish for one brief moment that he was the sunlight? I wonder could this be Love? I watch her breast rise and fall with every little breath and I wonder is this Love?As she lies there in quiet slumber her body engulfed by the sun, I think God What beauty, could this be Love? At the end of each day I Pray for just one more day with her beauty at my side, and I wonder, could this be Love?
