Poetry: New Love
Love Struck
by Sonya Kiesinger

The last two weeks we spent together have been great; we were inseprable
At night I layed down and realized the days were winding down
As our final minutes together were spent reality struck me; I realized we'd be apart

As our hands slowly drifted apart, while you got in the car I did all I could to not shed a tear
i turned my back and walked away, I wished we could go back to yesterday; were we could be in each others arms

I neared my car and started to bawl
I alredy missed you the moment you got in the car
I'm counting down the days untill I can see you and hold you in my arms once again
Till then i'm holding you in my heart
