he was enjoying his new life
he was care free, had a new job, good friends, and a ex-wife.
his son had come home.
he worked hard, kept improving,
felt comfortable, no need to roam.
just an average guy.
landing a physically hard job.
not a jet setting position where one hob-knobs
after work he would head to the swamp!
to visit good friends, enjoy a campfire and maybe
a cold beer.
then one evening he was approached by a beauty
with a great interior!
this was a person he just had to know.
so they gather the kids for dinner.
enjoyed good food, had a great time and agreed to
go slow.
the weeks flew by eight in all.
the summer had quickly turned to fall.
her looks, her laugh, her person, the brunches,
the dinners, the fireplace.
all had the same effect.
they made his heart race.
he had a bad habit of expressing himself.
he wrote done his feelings, his thoughts, his fear.
all in hopes of drawing her near.
then one sunday things broke down.
the phone didn't ring. not even a sound.
this pretty lady was nowhere around.
a man expressing himself was rare.
in doing this he gave this pretty lady quite a scare.
with only one small glimpse this past month, he has
had time to ponder.
knowing damn well that makes the heart grow fonder.
he wants to let her know.
it is ok to go slow.
another item to take note.
because your admirers feelings he has wrote,
does not mean she should feel fear.
look deep, be honest just talk he will lend an ear.
pretty lady understand.
expressing himself makes no less a man.
he feels no need to prove he is bad-der.
he is more interested in climbing maslows ladder.
he would love to make this climb along side a
pretty lady whos on his mind.
maybe she will take a chance,
and finally give him that first dance.
